wedding weekend

At long last, wedding weekend! Since her Uncle Ben got engaged in the fall, every time we would pass the church where his wedding was to take place, she would say, "Look, Mom! Uncle Ben and Vivi are getting married!"  So you can imagine how excited she--and the rest of us--were when it was actually time!

Unfortunately, wedding week wasn't exactly smooth sailing at the Wilson house.  The Sunday before the wedding was when we returned home from our trip to the Outer Banks, with two really sick kiddos in tow.  So we headed in to the pediatrician first thing on Monday morning, where Hunter was diagnosed with hand, foot, and mouth disease.  The poor guy; his diagnosis explained why he had been resisting his bottle throughout the duration of our drive home, as the sores in his little mouth were uncomfortable.  The next day, Harper woke up sick too, and I had to take the day off work--my first day back from vacation.  Dallin stayed home the next day…  By Friday morning, we were back at the doctor; this time, Hunter had an ear infection, and Harper had a potential sinus infection.  Oh, and did I mention this was the day before the wedding?

I have to say, those little Hs were troopers.  Both wearing white, Hunter escorted Mimi down the aisle, and Harper made her debut as a flower girl.  I have to confess, I was a little bit concerned about Harper making it down the aisle.  I worried that she would get one glimpse of all those people (over 200!) and then decide it wasn't going to happen.  Fortunately, her "big girl friend," Sienna (who is 8 years old), held her hand as they went down the aisle--and "big girls" are basically Harper's heroes!  So she made it down the aisle, and even managed to throw a few flowers too.  Despite their illnesses, our little Hs did a amazing job, and they kept it together to enjoy the wedding festivities too!  We are excited to see how the wedding photographs turned out, but in the meantime, here are the few snapshots that we were able to take on Mr. and Mrs. Warner's special day.

The ceremony was beautiful, centered around love, Christ, and family.  The reception was perfect, with Mimi's house never looking so beautiful (except when Dallin and I were married, of course haha).  The kids loved seeing so much family and so many friends, all in one place.  Of course, Harper and Hunter made new friends too.  Harper especially loved the Armenian music.  Most of all, we all loved welcoming Viv into the family--officially.
