11 months old!

After Ben and Viv's whirlwind wedding weekend, the rest of August was a bit of a blur.  Dallin and I celebrated our eight anniversary, Hunter turned 11 months old, followed by my birthday--but most of all, we tried to make the most of the last days of summer.  

Oh how we love these two.

At 11 months, Hunter is a delightful little maniac.  He is such a physical guy, liking to get down and dirty (literally) when we are playing outside or even around the house.  Nothing seems off limits to him, and now that he's learning to move a bit more independently, cruising along, he can get even get into a bit of trouble.  He is curious and excited.  As Harper says, "Here comes trouble!"  Our little brute is also a sweet snuggler.  I love the way he curls up in my arms, not to mention his sweet (and wet!) little kisses.  His number one girl remains Harper, and watching them together is the best thing ever.

In an effort to enjoy as much time as possible outside, we made the exciting discovery of a favorite park, equipped with fantastic slides, a pirate ship, and even an elaborate water feature.  We didn't realize there was a water feature during our first trip, and so Harper wasn't wearing her bathing suit.  That didn't stop our girl from getting right into it.   There is something about water that is pure joy for our children, particularly Harper.

Like most parks in our area, they will soon shut off the water when the days get cooler, but we are delighted to know this fun park exists, and it will certainly be part of our summer routine next year.  Next year…how is summer nearly over?!  We are going to miss the sun, the light that lasts until it's practically bedtime.  

This summer was everything: crazy, busy, fun, and magical.  We were fortunate to have our lovely friend photograph Harper and Hunter just as they are in this moment--their silliness, their sweetness, their perfection…
